Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension, reduces inflammation, reduces stress, gets you in better touch with your body and brain communication. It also creates a whole new way for you to look at breath not as an everyday thing, but a tool we have with us all the time.
A regular yoga practice can reduce the risk of injury and condition your body to perform better at things you do everyday. It will increase your flexibility, give you better lung function, longevity, endurance, and strength. A healthy yoga practice will also help you manage the stress of day-to-day life.
While yoga helps improve your body, it also helps with mindfulness and meditation. It is important to take a break from daily life to focus on yourself and get clarity. Focusing on your breath during practice is key to staying in tune with your mind and body. There is no better place to forget about the world around you, then on your mat.
